Global-Estate Resorts Inc., a subsidiary of property developer Megaworld Corp., said it will develop Nascala Coast, a 116-hectare integrated tourism and leisure township in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Nascala Coast is envisioned to become the 36th township of Megaworld, the listed property arm of tycoon Andrew Tan. The Nasugbu township project will feature residential villages, beachside condominiums, commercial hubs, and leisure destinations designed to harmonize with the area’s natural coastal and mountainous landscapes.
GERI is investing an initial P5 billion over five years to develop the township, further expanding its portfolio of acclaimed integrated resorts and lifestyle communities.
The township’s name combines “Nasugbu” and the Spanish word “Escala,” meaning “climb,” reflecting its elevated setting with panoramic views of Nasugbu Bay and nearby mountain ranges.
Nasugbu is already a popular getaway for families and outdoor enthusiasts, boasting pristine beaches and landmarks like Mount Batulao and Mount Palay-Palay.
Strategically located just 2.5 hours from Metro Manila and easily accessible via major highways, Nascala Coast promises a seamless escape from urban life.
Monica T. Salomon, GERI president, said that Nascala Coast aims to be more than just a destination—it will be a vibrant coastal community blending nature, culture, and lifestyle opportunities for both tourists and homeowners.
Nascala will add to the Megaworld Group’s portfolio that includes notable projects such as Boracay Newcoast, Twin Lakes in Batangas, and Alabang West.
