Property giant Ayala Land Inc. announced on MOnday its acquisition of the New World Hotel Makati, a landmark hospitality asset located in the heart of the country’s premier business and commercial district. The deal, finalized through Ayala Land’s hotel and resort development arm, AyalaLand Hospitality (ALH), is seen as a significant addition to its expanding portfolio in key urban centers.
“This move reflects our continued focus on offering a cohesive and high-quality guest experience across key locations,” said George Aquino, president and CEO of ALH, underscoring the intent behind the acquisition.
Although the acquisition cost was not disclosed, Ayala Land said the transaction strengthens its hospitality footprint in Makati where it already operates multiple business and lifestyle hotel brands. Located across Greenbelt and within walking distance of major commercial and luxury retail areas, New World Hotel Makati is considered a prime hospitality asset.
Operations will continue uninterrupted under the current operator, Rosewood Hotel Group, with the existing team retained and all bookings honored. “ALH assures guests and partners a smooth transition, maintaining the high standards of service the brand is known for,” the company said.
The acquisition forms part of Ayala Land’s broader strategy to enhance its presence in high-growth areas and offer integrated experiences across its diversified real estate platform.
