The Jollibee Group continued its growth trajectory in the first quarter of 2025, reporting double-digit gains across key financial metrics, following a historic 2024 performance.
At the company’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, Jollibee Group Global president and CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong announced Q1 2025 results showing a 14.6 percent rise in revenues, 18.9 percent growth in system-wide sales (SWS), and 17.6 percent increase in operating income. Both domestic and international operations contributed significantly, with sales up 11.9 percent in the Philippines and 29.5 percent overseas.
The 1Q performance comes after Jollibee’s banner year in 2024, when net income hit a record P10.3 billion and SWS reached P390.3 billion, buoyed by strong same-store sales and market execution. Operating profit rose 17.2 percent last year to P16.9 billion, with margins improving across the board. The company opened 674 new stores in 2024, including 536 internationally, expanding its network to over 9,700 outlets, 69 percent of which are franchised.
A notable highlight was the acquisition of South Korea’s Compose Coffee, which helped the coffee and tea segment deliver 37 percent SWS growth, accounting for a growing share of the Group’s global footprint.
Looking ahead, the Jollibee Group aims to open 700–800 new stores and is allocating P18–21 billion in capital expenditures for continued expansion. It targets 8–12 percent SWS growth in 2025, underpinned by 4–6 percent same-store sales growth and 4–8 percent footprint expansion, with a focus on North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
Tanmantiong reiterated the company’s long-term ambition to triple net income after tax and achieve a 20 percent return on invested capital by 2028, positioning Jollibee among the Top 5 restaurant companies globally.
In 2024, Jollibee advanced its sustainability agenda, achieving significant reductions in energy, water, and waste at its Philippine commissaries. It also planted 21,500 mangroves and conducted 11,700 food safety audits. The Group continued to be recognized for its employee engagement and corporate culture, earning awards from Gallup, TIME, and the People Management Association of the Philippines.
As Tanmantiong emphasized, “We are committed to bringing the joy of taste to our consumers with every meal, creating moments of happiness through superior flavors.”
