PLDT Enterprise deepens retail push in renewed PRA collaboration

PLDT Enterprise has reinforced its 23-year partnership with the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), securing strategic agreements that enable the telco to deliver customized digital solutions to retail businesses nationwide. This renewal supports PLDT’s broader commercial objective of accelerating digital adoption across industries and bolstering its leadership in the enterprise ICT market.

Under the partnership, PLDT Enterprise will co-develop and deploy tailored technology solutions addressing key retail challenges — including omnichannel customer engagement, real-time inventory management, and secure cashless transactions. The telecom giant aims to empower both large retail chains and MSMEs with access to fixed and wireless connectivity, AI and cloud-powered tools, and cybersecurity solutions.

“This collaboration ensures we continue providing the right digital tools to future-proof Philippine retail,” said Chet Alviz, PLDT Enterprise vice president and head of marketing. “Our goal is to help businesses operate more efficiently, engage customers better, and scale sustainably.”

PRA chairman Roberto S. Claudio, Sr. praised PLDT’s long-standing role in driving inclusive digitalization, particularly for underserved retail sectors. “PLDT Enterprise understands the evolving needs of our industry and supports both large and small players to compete locally and globally,” Claudio said.

The strengthened alliance underscores PLDT Enterprise’s dual focus on business enablement and inclusive tech access, positioning the company as a critical partner in the transformation of the retail landscape. PLDT is also set to highlight emerging innovations — including AI and cloud integration — at the upcoming National Retail Conference and Expo (NRCE) from 31 July to 1 August at SMX Convention Center Manila.
