PNB wins 5th straight Euromoney Award for investment research

The Philippine National Bank (PNB) has secured its fifth consecutive Best Bank for Investment Research in the Philippines award from Euromoney at the 2025 Private Banking Awards, underscoring its growing influence in financial analytics and client advisory services.

The accolade reinforces PNB’s sustained leadership in delivering economic insights and investment strategies to institutional and retail clients. It also reflects the bank’s strategic focus on thought leadership as a value-adding pillar in private and commercial banking.

“This marks an important achievement for PNB, and we are proud to receive this recognition for the fifth time,” said Francis Albalate, EVP and head of financial management, strategy and sustainability. Alvin Arogo, FVP and head of the economic and research division, added that the recognition “motivates the team to continue delivering sharp, relevant, and timely insights.”

Euromoney, a global authority in financial publishing, credited PNB for “consistently providing comprehensive investment research and economic insights, guiding clients in making informed financial decisions.” This year’s award also carries additional prestige, following Euromoney’s merger with Asiamoney, further elevating the award’s global relevance.

The award complements PNB’s solid financial performance, with the bank posting a 15 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated net income to ₱6.1 billion in Q1 2025. Core income climbed 10 percent to ₱14.1 billion, with a 9 percent increase in net interest margin, indicating robust operational efficiency alongside research excellence.
