Caltex imposes another fuel price hike this week

Caltex will raise pump prices again starting 6:01 a.m. Thursday, 17 July, marking its second fuel price hike this week. Gasoline and kerosene will go up by P0.20 per liter, while diesel will rise by P0.35, the company announced.

This brings Caltex’s total price increase to P0.55/liter for gasoline, P1.05 for diesel, and P0.70 for kerosene, a small adjustment compared to most fuel retailers, who hiked prices by up to P1.40/liter earlier this week.

Caltex remains the only player adjusting prices twice a week, a move that can pressure motorists already coping with higher fuel costs. Year-to-date, net increases have hit P9.00/liter for gasoline, P11.35 for diesel, and P1.85 for kerosene, following two weeks of price rollbacks.
