Lenovo rises in Gartner’s Top 25 Supply Chains ranking

Lenovo has climbed to 8th place in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2025, advancing two spots from last year and reaffirming its leadership among global giants across industries such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, FMCG, and technology.

The Gartner ranking recognizes companies demonstrating excellence in supply chain strategy and execution. Lenovo’s improved position highlights the growing commercial and operational impact of its eight-year digital transformation, now increasingly powered by artificial intelligence.

“To build the kind of technology our customers expect, we need to lead by example within our own business,” said Che Min Tu, SVP and group operations officer at Lenovo. “Integrating AI across our supply chain has improved customer experience and shortened delivery times in a complex global environment.”

Lenovo’s AI-driven systems have enhanced planning accuracy, reduced costs, and improved decision-making agility across its network of 30+ manufacturing sites spanning six global regions. Innovations include intelligent production scheduling, AI-powered customer sentiment analysis, and digital twin logistics—developed by a dedicated team of 75+ researchers.

As part of its ongoing expansion, Lenovo recently began construction of a major manufacturing hub in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Alat. The facility is expected to significantly boost production capacity in the Middle East by 2026.

Ben Massie, VP of global supply chain for Lenovo’s infrastructure solutions group, emphasized the company’s forward-looking mindset: “We’re focused on becoming ‘anti-fragile’—not just withstanding disruption, but growing stronger because of it.”

Lenovo’s recognition by Gartner underscores not only its supply chain excellence but also the commercial advantages of embedding AI at scale across operations—a model increasingly seen as critical for global competitiveness.
