GSIS, Dragonpay seal deal expand digital payment access for members

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has partnered with leading digital payment solutions provider Dragonpay to expand electronic payment options for its members and pensioners, formalized through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed on Wednesday.

The partnership aims to enhance the convenience and security of GSIS transactions by integrating Dragonpay’s digital channels into GSIS platforms, including the GSIS Touch app and designated information booths. Dragonpay joins the agency’s expanding network of payment partners such as Bayad Center, MLhuillier, Maya, UnionBank, and Land Bank of the Philippines.

“This collaboration is part of our broader commitment to digital transformation and to delivering the promised ginhawa to our members and pensioners,” said GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso.

Dragonpay will handle electronic loan repayments for GSIS, with daily reporting and transaction verification protocols agreed upon to ensure accountability and data accuracy. Both organizations have committed to upholding regulatory standards, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and relevant BSP and COA guidelines.

Dragonpay CEO Robertson Chiang underscored the commercial and civic value of the agreement, saying, “This marks a shared commitment to make government transactions more accessible and responsive to every Filipino.”

The move reinforces GSIS’s push to modernize public service through strategic digital partnerships, aiming to bring secure and efficient service delivery closer to its millions of members nationwide.
