Boxing fans are in for a treat as Converge ICT Solutions Inc. announces the exclusive airing of the highly anticipated showdown between Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and reigning WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. The fight, set for Sunday, 20 July at 8:00 AM (Manila time), will be available live via pay-per-view through the Converge Xperience Hub for ₱499.
This marks a significant push by Converge into premium IPTV entertainment, offering subscribers a front-row seat to what’s being billed as a historic comeback for the 47-year-old Pacquiao. “The Pacquiao vs. Barrios fight is shaping out to be an all-out war,” said John Paul Aguilar, Converge SVP and head of consumer and SME business. “Our subscribers can experience this historic ring battle live.”
Current Converge customers can access the fight through the Xperience Hub, while non-subscribers can upgrade to eligible plans via gofiber.ph. Sky Cable subscribers can also join via the same pay-per-view access. Payments are processed online, with notifications sent via users’ chosen payment platforms.
This initiative forms part of Converge’s broader strategy to expand into high-demand entertainment content, signaling more IPTV offerings in the near future.
