Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has become the first company in the Philippines to secure full Tier III certification, both for design and construction facility, from the Uptime Institute for its Caloocan Data Center, marking a major milestone in the country’s data infrastructure development.
The Tier III certification for Constructed Facility attests that the Caloocan hub not only meets but operates in accordance with rigorous design and construction standards. This dual certification confirms that the 300-rack, 3-megawatt facility in Metro Manila can support mission-critical operations with high reliability and redundancy.
“This further enhances our infrastructure to support our core assets and services,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and co-founder of Converge. “We’re building a digital ecosystem that ensures the highest levels of reliability and security for our network.”
The certification underscores the commercial significance of Converge’s growing enterprise capabilities, positioning it as a trusted infrastructure provider for both domestic and global clients amid rising demand for cloud and content services.
Converge previously received Tier III certification for design in February, and following construction completion in March, it underwent operational testing before receiving full approval. The Constructed Facility certification carries lifetime validity.
To support increasing digital demand, Converge is expanding its infrastructure through a multi-edge strategy. A larger 1,200-rack data center is under development in Pampanga to further serve enterprise customers across multiple sectors.
