    Filipinas honored for leadership and legacy at Bravo Empowered Women Awards

    Eight trailblazing Filipino women were recognized for their outstanding contributions to society at the 6th Bravo Empowered Women Awards, hosted by the Zonta Club of Makati & Environs Foundation, Inc., with the support of Security Bank. Held at the JYD Hall, Security Bank Centre, the biennial awards celebrate the achievements, leadership, and impact of Filipinas across diverse fields.

    The event underscores the cultural significance of honoring women whose courage and integrity inspire societal progress. “With Bravo Empowered Women Awards, we honor women whose passion has delivered real results and continues to drive progress across our communities,” said Sanjiv Vohra, President and CEO of Security Bank. He reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to fostering opportunities for women to lead and advocate change.

    The 2025 honorees include:

    Larissa Palma Chavez (Arts, Culture, and Heritage) – Advocate of storytelling for social change and children’s literacy.

    Maria Mikaela “Maiki” Enriquez Oreta (Business) – Journalist promoting education and entrepreneurship through media.

    Doreen Alicia Gamboa (Culinary) – Proponent of sustainable farming and culinary heritage preservation.

    Maryan Cabasag Diaros (Education) – Champion of inclusive education for marginalized learners.

    Sittie Habiba Sarip (Media and Public Affairs) – Muslim journalist promoting peace, faith, and identity.

    Andie Estrada (Social Services) – Innovator in sustainable food systems and community upliftment.

    Jamie Christine Berberabe Lim (Sports) – Elite karateka mentoring youth through sports.

    Dr. Emmeline Elaine “Emy” Cua-De Los Santos (STEM) – Leader in cancer surgery and health education.

    Glenda Barretto (Lifetime Achievement) – Culinary icon and Via Mare founder, preserving Filipino gastronomy.

    The awards not only recognize excellence but also reinforce the vital role of Filipinas in shaping inclusive and resilient communities.
