Globe offers free calls, charging to typhoon-hit communities

Globe Telecom is providing free call and charging services in typhoon-affected areas through its Libreng Tawag at Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations, delivering vital communication and power access to communities facing outages. Part of Globe’s #AlagangGlobe disaster response, the initiative helps residents reconnect with loved ones and reach assistance during ongoing recovery.

LTLC stations are currently open in:

    • Gen. T. De Leon National High School, Valenzuela City (July 23, 9AM–4PM)
    • Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City (July 24, 8AM–5PM)
    • Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City (July 24, 8AM–5PM)

“We know how critical communication is in times of crisis,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s chief sustainability and corporate communications officer. “We are committed to providing immediate lifelines through free call and charging services.”

Despite widespread outages in Luzon, Globe has kept most network services operational and is restoring affected areas like Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Globe is also rolling out relief operations with Brigadang Ayala and employee volunteers, with aid already reaching 250 families in Cebu and further distributions set for July 25 in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon.

In addition, free call and data services are available for customers in several provinces, including Metro Manila, Rizal, and parts of Ilocos and Cagayan. More information can be found on the Globe ICON Facebook page.
