What’s in a name? For Jollibee, it’s still Chickenjoy, halo-halo smiles, and a bee that brings the buzz—just with a global twist.
Jollibee Foods Corp. remains its official name and wants fans and investors to know that “Jollibee Group” is just a flex of its new swagger on the global branding stage.
In a statement that might as well have come with gravy on the side, the company explained the brand name “Jollibee Group” reflects its expanding international footprint—now spanning 19 brands across multiple food categories.
The once-local champ now counts Smashburger, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Burger King (Philippines), and Highlands Coffee alongside Filipino icons like Greenwich, Mang Inasal, and Chowking within its busy hive.
While “Jollibee Group” may appear in press releases, corporate events, and investor calls, it’s all business-as-usual on paper. The company clarified it will continue using “Jollibee Foods Corporation” for all official documents, filings, and regulatory submissions.
And if that changes? Jollibee promises full transparency, in line with rules from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philippine Stock Exchange.
So no, the bee isn’t changing its wings or dimming that wide-eyed smile—just stretching them a little farther as it takes flight on the global stage.
