Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. said it has completed the sale of its wholly-owned unit Integrated Micro-Electronics Czech Republic s.r.o. to Keboda Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The deal valued the Czech unit at EUR10.03 million, an amount subject to post-closing adjustment.
Keboda is a subsidiary of Keboda Technology Co., Ltd., a publicly listed Chinese company known for automotive intelligent and energy-efficient electronics solutions.
The transaction, initially disclosed on June 4, was carried out through IMI’s European subsidiary, Cooperatief IMI Europe U.A. after meeting all closing conditions.
This strategic divestment aligns with IMI’s goal to optimize its global manufacturing footprint, improving operational efficiency and maximizing profitability. As part of the transition, key customers previously handled by the Czech facility have been smoothly transferred to IMI’s Serbia and Bulgaria plants, ensuring business continuity and service excellence.
The move marks a significant step in IMI’s restructuring strategy, allowing it to focus resources on higher-performing facilities and improve overall facility utilization across the region.
