The Philippine National Bank’s trust banking group has formalized a retirement fund partnership with Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO), the province’s sole electric distribution utility, strengthening its footprint in institutional fund management.
Under the agreement, PNB will administer a Trusteed Retirement Plan for ISECO employees, providing professional investment management, compliance with plan governance, and strategic advisory services. The partnership was sealed during a signing ceremony held at ISECO’s headquarters in Santiago, Ilocos Sur.
ISECO serves all 32 municipalities and two cities in Ilocos Sur and has been recognized by the National Electrification Administration as a “Show Window of Rural Electrification.” The cooperative’s move to establish a retirement plan reflects its continued investment in employee welfare as part of its broader cooperative social responsibility initiatives.
The collaboration underscores PNB’s role as a trusted financial partner for electric cooperatives and similar institutions, combining fund performance, regulatory compliance, and expert market insights to ensure long-term security for Filipino workers.
