Manila Water reaches 75% of 2025 expansion goal

Manila Water has connected 10,308 new domestic accounts to its piped water network in the first half of 2025, reflecting a strong push toward expanding clean water access and infrastructure across the East Zone.

The milestone brings the utility’s total domestic connections to 1,146,126 as of June 30, contributing to a broader service base of 1.2 million connections, which includes key commercial and industrial clients. The company has now fulfilled 75.59 percent of its domestic connection target for the year.

“This expansion aligns with our service improvement plan and MWSS goals to ensure water accessibility and operational resilience,” said Jeric Sevilla, director of Manila Water’s Corporate Communications Affairs Group.

Supported by over 5,500 kilometers of pipelines, the East Zone network ensures 24/7 water availability and continues to meet national water quality standards. Manila Water is also advancing its wastewater management, with 311,663 sewer connections as of June, including 550 new accounts added last month.

The ongoing expansion bolsters Manila Water’s role in supporting commercial growth, urban development, and public health across Metro Manila and Rizal Province.
