Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp., a subsidiary of DoubleDragon Corp., has signed definitive binding agreements to develop two new hotel projects in Cambodia, marking its official entry into the fast-growing Southeast Asian hospitality market.
The two properties — one in the capital city of Phnom Penh and the other in the coastal city of Sihanoukville — are expected to collectively contribute US$109.55 million in projected sales revenue, according to the company.
Hotel101 Phnom Penh will feature approximately 700 rooms across 30 floors and will rise on a prime 2,033-square-meter commercial site located in Tonle Bassac, a dynamic riverfront area adjacent to the upscale Boeung Keng Kang District. The location is known for its mix of cultural landmarks, business hubs, and high-end residential developments.
Meanwhile, Hotel101-Sihanoukville Cambodia will offer around 680 rooms and will be situated on a 4,623-square-meter property within the master-planned Bay of Lights coastal development. The site lies adjacent to the proposed international convention and exhibition center, positioning the hotel to capture both business and leisure travelers.
The move signals Hotel101’s continued push toward international expansion. Cambodia becomes the sixth market for the brand, following the Philippines, Japan, Spain, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.
Hotel101 sees strong potential in Cambodia’s tourism sector, which will welcome over 6.7 million international visitors in 2024. Growth is expected to accelerate with the opening of the new Techno International Airport (KTI) in Phnom Penh, slated for inauguration on 9 September 2025.
These developments are aligned with Hotel101 Global’s long-term strategy to establish a portfolio of 50,000 operating rooms in the Philippines and ultimately reach a global target of 1 million rooms across 100 countries.
