PLDT Inc. is accelerating the rollout of its Home Fiber Prepaid service as part of a broader strategy to expand affordable, high-speed internet access to underserved communities across the country, the company announced Thursday.
The expansion aims to deepen PLDT’s reach in high-density urban centers and emerging cities, providing budget-friendly connectivity to more Filipino households. According to John Y. Palanca, PLDT senior vice president and head of Consumer Business – Home, the move is part of the telco’s commitment to bridge the digital divide and empower Filipinos through greater access to online opportunities.
“More than just connectivity, our goal is to connect Filipinos to opportunities, experiences, and dreams,” Palanca said, emphasizing that the prepaid fiber product complements existing postpaid offerings by appealing to first-time users and cost-conscious families.
The prepaid segment has shown strong early adoption, supported by PLDT’s growing nationwide fiber network and enhanced service offerings—including faster installation, improved repair times, and expanded customer support. These developments underscore PLDT Home’s push for service excellence in both corporate and consumer markets.
Palanca highlighted the robust performance of PLDT Home in the first half of 2025, noting that the company’s growing suite of broadband solutions—postpaid, prepaid, and value-added services—reflects its mission to deliver world-class, inclusive digital services to all Filipinos.
