Globe powers Metro Manila with network upgrades

Globe Telecom is strengthening its network infrastructure across Metro Manila, rolling out new cell towers and implementing capacity upgrades to meet the growing digital demands of over 13 million residents. The initiative focuses on improving connectivity in high-density areas such as schools, major roads, residential zones, and commercial centers, enabling more efficient work, learning, and access to essential services.

Quezon City, the region’s most populous city, has seen the installation of new towers in barangays such as San Agustin, Bagong Silangan, Doña Imelda, Pasong Putik, and Loyola Heights. These areas host several educational institutions, and the enhanced network is expected to support students, remote workers, and entrepreneurs.

In Makati and Taguig — two of Metro Manila’s top business and lifestyle districts — new sites in Guadalupe Nuevo, Pio del Pilar, Napindan, Lower Bicutan, and Bonifacio Global City are set to boost capacity by 2025. The improvements aim to support the digital needs of corporate offices, co-working spaces, and the fast-growing number of digital professionals and startups in these areas.

Parañaque is also undergoing targeted network enhancements in Pacific Avenue and Barangay Don Bosco to meet the rising demand for high-speed connectivity among residents and local businesses.

The connectivity upgrades extend across the metro, reaching cities including Caloocan, Las Piñas, Marikina, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasay, Pasig, San Juan, and Valenzuela. These improvements are strategically placed in schools, transport hubs, residential communities, and commercial zones to maximize accessibility and performance.

For businesses, the strengthened network infrastructure translates to more robust digital operations, broader customer reach, and enhanced remote productivity. Commercially, it reinforces Globe’s leadership in network reliability — a competitive edge as digital ecosystems continue to grow.

“Metro Manila is always on the move, and connectivity has to keep up,” said Joel Agustin, Globe SVP for network planning and engineering. “We’re building new sites and boosting capacity where people learn, work, and live to make sure our network can meet real, everyday demands — not just today, but in the years to come.”

These continued upgrades help position Globe as enabler of Metro Manila’s digital transformation, aiming to deliver consistent, reliable connectivity that supports personal, academic, and economic growth.
