Vitarich to acquire Broilers Club for P280M

Vitarich Corp. has approved a P280-million acquisition of Broilers Club Inc. (BCI), a poultry firm with breeder farm facilities in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, marking a key strategic move to expand its breeder operations.

In a disclosure, Vitarich said it signed a memorandum of agreement with BCI and its shareholders following “exhaustive discussions.” The deal includes the purchase of land, facilities, equipment, 125,000 BCI common shares, and shareholder advances.

The acquisition is expected to boost Vitarich’s breeder output by up to 8 percent, aligning with its long-term growth strategy. Upon completion—subject to a 90-day due diligence review—BCI will become a Vitarich subsidiary, and its Davao facility will be integrated into Vitarich’s operations.

BCI, a private firm engaged in poultry and egg production, was previously granted government tax incentives in 2021 for an P87.8-million project in the same location. The facility houses three poultry buildings with an annual capacity of 4.9 million eggs and employs 43 workers.

Vitarich said the transaction is not expected to negatively impact its current operations.
