Potato Corner, the Philippines’ global flavored fries brand, made its official debut in Taiwan with the opening of its first store in Taipei’s bustling Xinyi District on August 4.
Located in the Uni-President Department Store, the store marks the 16th international market for the brand, which is part of Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI). Since its acquisition by SPAVI in 2022, Potato Corner has rapidly expanded its global footprint, now reaching 2,345 stores worldwide.
The Taiwan launch also marks the start of a new partnership with the Fujin Tree Group, a prominent local F&B and lifestyle operator known for its curated dining experiences and Michelin-star portfolio.
“Since our inception, we have been committed to enriching consumer lifestyles with exceptional dining experiences,” said Jay Wu, founder of Fujin Tree Group. “We are honored to introduce Potato Corner, a beloved global brand, to Taiwan. We look forward to adding more stores before the year ends.”
The brand’s entry places it at the heart of Taipei’s dining and retail scene, with its flagship store located near key transit points like the MRT and bus terminals.
SPAVI President and CEO Vicente Gregorio welcomed the milestone as part of a broader global push.
“It’s always a proud moment to bring our beloved brand to new international shores,” Gregorio said. “With the strong support of our partner Fujin Tree, we look forward to strengthening and scaling our presence in Taiwan.”
The partnership aims to make Potato Corner a go-to destination for locals seeking fun, flavor, and everyday indulgence.
