Jollibee Group Foundation hosts capacity-building workshop for farmer program partners

The Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), the social development arm of the Jollibee Group, recently convened local implementing partners of its Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) for a three-day capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening support for farmer groups.

Participants included representatives from local governments, microfinance institutions, cooperatives, the academe, farmer leaders, and Jollibee Group business units. The sessions, led by industry experts, focused on key aspects of running successful farm enterprises—such as customer service, operations, and financial management—while also promoting strategies to help farmers become reliable suppliers to larger markets.

“This workshop ensures that our partners are equipped with the right tools and knowledge to guide our farmer groups more effectively,” said Gisela Tiongson, JGF president. “As the FEP program continues to grow, we want our partners to grow with us.”

Participants welcomed the opportunity to learn and collaborate. “We learned a lot from the sessions on how we can strengthen our support to the farmers in our communities,” said Justine Lynn Limocon, manager at Sacred Heart Savings Cooperative. “We sincerely thank JGF for the continued guidance so we can be more effective and grow together.”
