MPCALA Holdings Inc., the concessionaire of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), has signed an agreement with EEI Corporation and CM Pancho Construction, Inc. (CMPCI) to complete the remaining construction works of CALAX. Under the deal, EEI Corp. will manage Subsection 1 (Open Canal to Kawit), while CMPCI will oversee Subsection 2 (Governor’s Drive to Open Canal).
The CALAX project, a 45 km expressway, aims to enhance connectivity between Cavite, Laguna, and Metro Manila. Operational segments are already in place, while remaining sections, including Subsection 3 (Silang Aguinaldo to Governor’s Drive), are set to be completed by mid-2026. Once finished, CALAX is expected to serve up to 95,000 vehicles daily and significantly improve travel times in the region.
