The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has officially declared Jollibee’s iconic Mascot and Stacked Logo as the country’s first-ever Well-Known Marks (WKM) under its newly established administrative process. The recognition, conferred on August 10, 2025, marks a significant legal and commercial milestone for the homegrown brand.
As the first trademarks to receive WKM status in the Philippines, Jollibee’s marks now benefit from enhanced legal protection across all categories of goods, services, and jurisdictions. This elevated status affirms the brand’s high degree of recognition and reputation both locally and internationally.
“This milestone not only protects our most iconic assets but also reinforces Jollibee’s position as a proudly Filipino brand with global influence,” said representatives from the Jollibee Group.
The conferment ceremony was attended by senior officials from IPOPHL and representatives from Jollibee Group and its legal counsel, Quisumbing Torres.
