    PAL debuts refurbished A321ceo fleet

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to deploy its first refurbished Airbus A321ceo this month, marking the start of a fleet-wide cabin retrofit program aimed at improving passenger experience and operational efficiency. The first aircraft, RP-C9905, was retrofitted at Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ facility in Manila.

The updated jet features a 194-seat dual-class layout with 12 Business and 182 Economy seats. PAL said the project is the first by a local airline to use Filipino workers for seat production, installation, and cabin reconfiguration.

The airline plans to deploy the reconfigured A321ceos on routes to Japan, Indonesia, and Guam this year, with more Asian destinations to follow in 2026. The full program, covering 18 aircraft, will run through 2027.

The rollout comes as PAL reported a Q2 net income of $60 million, up 48 percent year-on-year, with revenue reaching $831 million.
