The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) has partnered with International Workplace Group (IWG) to manage the newly built Super Health Center in Casiguran, Aurora—marking IWG’s first venture into healthcare facility management globally.

The partnership was formalized on September 23 by APECO president and CEO Gil G. Taway IV and IWG Philippines country manager Rowena Natividad.

Funded by APECO at a cost of P16.83 million, the Super Health Center aims to provide quality healthcare services to local communities and future ecozone locators. Under the agreement, IWG will oversee the center’s day-to-day operations, applying international standards in patient care and facility management.

“This pioneering model reflects growing global confidence in Bagong APECO,” said Taway, highlighting the agency’s push to unlock public assets through public-private partnerships instead of relying solely on government funding.

Natividad noted that Aurora’s location and natural appeal make it ideal for wellness-centered investments, adding that the partnership addresses the region’s need for healthcare infrastructure while introducing global best practices.

The deal is seen as a signal of renewed investor interest in APECO, which is positioning Aurora as a hub for innovation and future retirement community developments, including IWG’s potential expansion of its flexible workspace business into the ecozone.
