Globe is continuing its efforts to support communities impacted by Typhoon Opong, focusing on restoring connectivity in South Luzon and the Visayas. The company has deployed its network and relief teams to aid in the recovery, with restoration work progressing across 29 affected provinces—14 in South Luzon and 15 in the Visayas.
As of the latest update, full service has been restored in South Luzon, including in Albay, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, and Sorsogon. Efforts are still ongoing in other provinces, with teams actively working in Masbate. In the Visayas, services have been fully restored in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Cebu, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Oriental, and Southern Leyte.
In addition to restoring services, Globe has set up Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations to assist residents in heavily impacted areas. The first confirmed LTLC site has been activated in Bagumbayan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, with more stations planned based on local needs.
To help affected customers, Globe has also introduced a series of support offers, including free unlimited calls and texts, data packages, and extended payment deadlines for both prepaid and postpaid users across several affected regions. These offers are available in areas such as Northern Samar, Western Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Oriental Mindoro.
Additionally, Globe customers can donate Globe Rewards points or use GCash to contribute to the Ayala Foundation’s Hapag Movement, supporting relief operations. Updates on the recovery efforts and additional service information will be shared through Globe’s social media pages.
