The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), through its Legazpi Branch, is actively addressing the cash needs of banks in Masbate following the impact of Typhoon Opong. The BSP is coordinating with supervised financial institutions to maintain access to banking services across the province.
In response to disruptions, the BSP has offered to accommodate emergency withdrawals and has highlighted the availability of alternative financial channels, such as money service businesses for cash-out services.
These measures aim to support affected communities and sustain essential financial transactions during recovery. The BSP assures continued monitoring to meet the region’s banking and cash service demands.
