The various fuel retailers will implement mixed price adjustments starting Tuesday morning. Gasoline prices will increase by P0.30 per liter, while kerosene prices will decrease by P0.20 per liter. Diesel prices will remain steady with no changes.
Jetti Petroleum Inc. president Leo Bellas attributed the fuel price hike to higher demand from major consumers like China and India, and to lower-than-expected output from OPEC+.
The scheduled price changes will take effect at 6:00 a.m. for Seaoil, Jetti, and PTT, and at 6:01 a.m. for Caltex.
This week marks the first time in seven weeks that diesel prices have not increased. Since late August, diesel prices have risen by a total of P5.90 per liter. Year-to-date, gasoline prices have increased by P15.20 per liter, diesel by P17.85, and kerosene by P5.45.
From 7 to 13 October, fuel prices in the National Capital Region average P54 per liter for RON 91 gasoline, P55.45 for diesel, and P75.59 for kerosene.
