Solar energy firm Berde Renewables Inc. announced Wednesday its openness to partnerships with landowners, commercial and industrial businesses, and solar co-developers nationwide to expand clean energy capacity through site development, rooftop installations, and utility-scale projects.
The company’s efforts to drive the country’s clean energy transition were recently recognized at the Solar Quarter Week PH 2025 Leadership Awards, where Berde was named Solar Company of the Year, among other honors.
“We are honored to be recognized as a financially strong, impact-driven company trusted by industry leaders,” said Patrick Zhu, Berde president and co-founder.
Backed by iSquared Capital, which manages US$50 billion in assets globally, Berde has generated over 500 local jobs and expanded operations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, securing 47 MW of awarded projects, with 31 MW under construction and an active pipeline of 210 MW.
Internationally, Berde has entered a 300 MW joint venture with Thailand’s Power Systems and Solutions Co. Ltd., earning the Best Solar Project Deal award for this collaboration and for its 8.4 MWp solar PPA with KCC Malls and Biotech Farms in Mindanao.
The company continues to invest in asset monitoring and risk management to ensure high performance across its projects. Its internal teams also received recognition at the Team Excellence Awards, with its commercial and development division named Sales Team of the Year, and its asset operations team winning Best Design Team of the Year.
