The Philippine Airlines (PAL) is ramping up its flight schedules and aircraft capacity to meet strong demand for international travel during the upcoming 2025 holiday season.
The flag carrier is boosting its presence in the Australia market by increasing flights and deploying larger planes. From mid-December 2025 to mid-January 2026, PAL will double its Manila–Perth flights from three to six times weekly, and raise Manila–Melbourne services from five to seven weekly. Select Manila–Brisbane flights will be upgraded to Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, while Perth flights will continue using the A321neo.
“Our goal is to meet robust demand and connect more travelers during the peak season, while offering world-class service and Filipino hospitality,” said PAL president Richard Nuttall.
Beyond Australia, PAL is also expanding flights to other destinations:
Da Nang: Daily service from Oct. 26, 2025 to Mar. 28, 2026 (up from three weekly).
Busan: Increased to 11 weekly flights during the same period.
Japan: Seasonal Manila–Sapporo route resumes Nov. 24 with thrice-weekly flights until Mar. 27. Additional flights will also be added on Manila routes to Narita, Osaka, and Nagoya over the holidays.
Cebu Hub: Extra flights to Osaka and Narita, plus new thrice-weekly nonstop Cebu–Guam service starting Dec. 16.
In the U.S., PAL will expand Manila–Seattle flights from three to five weekly beginning Nov. 25, 2025. This complements its existing services to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Honolulu, and Guam.
The expanded network underscores PAL’s commitment to enhance connectivity, support tourism, and deliver a seamless travel experience for passengers this holiday season.
