Clark Airport, FTI launch Clark National Food Hub

The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) has teamed up with Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) to develop the Clark National Food Hub, a major step in transforming the aviation complex into the Clark aviation capital.

The project, which features modern warehouses, cold storage, processing facilities, research labs, and trading offices, aims to centralize food distribution and processing for both local and export markets. It will serve Clark Freeport Zone, New Clark City, Metro Manila, and regions across Luzon, providing direct access to global markets.

“This partnership aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s push to strengthen agriculture and the nation’s food logistics chain,” said CIAC president Joseph Alcazar. He added that the initiative will boost food security, improve logistics and cold chain systems, and support the Philippines’ competitiveness as a food exporter.

CIAC, the aviation and land development arm of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, and FTI, a government-owned corporation under the National Food Authority, will jointly develop, operate, and maintain the hub. Alcazar said the partnership marks a milestone in promoting sustainable agricultural growth and a more efficient food value chain nationwide.
