Gasoline, diesel, kerosene set for big price hike

The various fuel retailers will raise the price of petroleum products this week, with gasoline up by P1.70 per liter, diesel by P2.70, and kerosene by P2.10. The adjustments will take effect Tuesday morning, with Seaoil, Jetti, and PTT implementing the hike at 6:00 a.m., and Caltex at 6:01 a.m.

This week’s diesel increase matches the largest single-week adjustment of 2025, which also saw a P2.70-per-liter rise in January. Fuel industry leaders say the hikes are influenced by international developments, including U.S. sanctions on Russian oil producers Rosneft and Lukoil, which have raised concerns over global supply.

DOE officials also note that easing U.S.-China trade tensions may push up global demand, further contributing to rising local prices.

Last week, prices were already raised by P1.20 per liter for gasoline, P2 for diesel, and P1.70 for kerosene. With this week’s adjustments, year-to-date price increases now total P18.20 per liter for gasoline, P21.85 for diesel, and P8.65 for kerosene.

As of November 3, the price per-liter in Metro Manila averaged P57.20 for RON 91 gasoline, P54.05 for diesel, and P79.11 for kerosene.
