Globe speeds up typhoon recovery, expands free services and relief efforts

Globe continues to provide essential support to communities hit by Typhoon Tino, ramping up restoration work across the Visayas and Mindanao. The company has deployed technical teams, set up Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi stations, and is preparing for wider relief operations in areas heavily affected by the storm.

Network services have been fully restored in Palawan, while restoration in the Visayas has reached 97.5 percent. Full connectivity has been restored in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Northern Samar, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, and Iloilo. Globe teams remain on-site in other areas to ensure services are fully brought back online soon.

To assist residents, Globe has activated additional Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi stations in several locations, including Negros Oriental, Guimaras, Bacolod City, and multiple cities in Cebu. These sites will operate from November 5 to 9, offering free calls, charging, and internet access depending on the location.

In partnership with Ayala Foundation Inc. through Brigadang Ayala, Globe has also expanded relief efforts. The company earlier distributed 1,000 food packs in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, and Barangay Bonbon, Cebu City, followed by a second round of 1,000 food packs in Isabela and Binalbagan, Negros Occidental. Globe continues to work with local governments to reach more affected families in the Visayas and Mindanao.
