Manila Water Foundation (MWF), together with Cebu Water, Tagum Water, and local water districts, has strengthened its water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), and sustainability programs in Cebu Province and Davao del Norte.
In Cebu, MWF turned over refrigerated drinking fountains to promote clean drinking water access and reduce plastic waste. Six units were donated to Carmen for installation in key public areas, while Cebu City received six units for use in government and water district offices. MWF also conducted WASH education sessions in Inayawan Elementary School and Barangay Inayawan, distributing hygiene kits and WASH supplies to students and community members.
In Tagum City, MWF marked Tagum Water’s 5th anniversary with WASH sessions in schools and communities. Learners from Col. Rosalio C. Saludares Elementary School and Babanganan Elementary School received hygiene kits, sanitary pads, and WASH assets, while Barangay Magdum’s teachers and parents joined hygiene sessions that concluded with the distribution of additional kits and supplies.
Local leaders in Cebu and Tagum expressed appreciation for the initiatives, which aim to improve community health, strengthen hygiene practices, and support sustainable living in underserved areas.
