Project Silk powers Aboitiz Foods’ AmCham Award sweep

Aboitiz Foods emerged as a standout at the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines’ (AmCham) 2nd Corporate Social Impact (CSI) Awards, sweeping major distinctions led by Pilmico Foods Corp.’s flagship Project Silk.

Project Silk clinched the Impact Excellence Award—the top honor given to the most transformative initiative among all Gold Awardees in the 2025 cycle—solidifying its place as the group’s leading community impact effort.

it also earned the Gold Award for Economic Empowerment and Livelihood Development for its work with thousands of corn farmers nationwide, helping strengthen their enterprises, raise earnings, and build long-term resilience. Pilmico’s Adopt-A-City Program added to the haul with a Silver Award for Community Impact and Civic Engagement for its partnership with the City of Iligan on disaster preparedness and community participation.

“These recognitions affirm our belief that creating lasting value must extend beyond the company,” said Pamela Lynne Liwag, Assistant Vice President for Brand & Reputation Management at Aboitiz Foods. “Our CSR programs are designed to enable meaningful, sustainable impact for future generations.”

The awards night, held November 19 at the Makati Diamond Residences and co-presented with the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, carried the theme “Stronger Together for People, Planet, and Progress,” honoring organizations driving shared-value and sustainability across six categories.

Aboitiz Foods credited its partners—from farmers and cooperatives to local governments, national agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions—for co-creating the programs.

“These impact stories are made possible by the communities we work with,” said Katrina Angelie Bayog-Mercado, CSR Manager. “This recognition belongs to them as much as it does to us.”
