Laguna Water, the largest water and wastewater service provider in Laguna, has released its 6th Sustainability Report, highlighting strong community partnerships and progress toward environmental and social goals.
The company reported that by the end of 2024, it had supplied clean, potable water to 132,776 service connections—benefiting more than 644,000 people, or about 18 percent of Laguna’s population. This effort supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
Laguna Water also showcased investments in new technologies and programs aimed at improving operations while cutting emissions. These initiatives helped the company avoid 18 percent of its carbon output through renewable energy use and enhanced wastewater treatment.
Community-focused activities were another key feature of the report. Through its annual Pasibol tree-planting program, over 1,500 saplings were planted across 2023 and 2024. The company also organized learning sessions on water and sanitation and backed various environmental programs of partner local governments.
“Environmental protection is a shared responsibility, and Laguna Water is one of the private organizations that consistently supports our advocacy,” said Ederlinda Caldito of Cabuyao City’s Environment and Natural Resources Office.
General manager Constantine Uy emphasized that the report reflects the company’s commitment to transparency and accountability. “We wanted to highlight how partnerships helped us achieve operational efficiency and bring positive change to the communities we serve,” he said.
