GoTyme Bank has rolled out Go Crypto, a new in-app service that lets Filipinos buy, sell, and manage cryptocurrency directly through the GoTyme Bank app. The nationwide launch aims to make crypto investing simpler, more accessible, and backed by the security of a BSP-licensed financial institution.
The feature allows users to invest in 11 major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, without registering on external platforms. All transactions take place within GoTyme’s closed-loop system for added security. GoTyme Bank President and CEO Nathaniel Clarke said the platform is designed to remove the complexity traditionally associated with crypto investing, offering a simple and trusted experience built on the bank’s existing infrastructure.
As a BSP-licensed virtual asset service provider, GoTyme conducts strict due diligence on every listed asset. The launch forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to expand investment access through secure, transparent, and user-friendly digital tools.
GoTyme noted that cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, not government-insured, and carry significant risks, including potential loss of capital. The bank encourages customers to understand these risks before investing.
GoTyme Bank is a regulated digital bank under the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and a partnership between the Gokongwei Group and Tyme. Its mobile app, kiosks, and debit card aim to provide secure and convenient ways for Filipinos to save, spend, and invest.
