Foreign-backed firms partner in Quezon wind project

The Triconti Windkraft Group has teamed up with Singapore-based Levanta Renewables to develop a new onshore wind farm in Atimonan, Quezon. The project secured incentives under the government’s fourth Green Energy Auction (GEA4), the companies announced Sunday.

The wind farm is planned to start commercial operations in 2028 with a capacity of up to 100 megawatts at an estimated cost of ₱8.7 billion. Under GEA rules, developers compete for fixed power rates by offering bids at or below reserve prices set by the Energy Regulatory Commission.

Levanta CEO Pramod Singh said the partnership combines Triconti’s local experience with Levanta’s regional track record. He said the project reflects their strong confidence in the country’s renewable energy sector. Triconti president Lila Rosenberger said winning GEA4 incentives is “just the start” as the companies work to bring planned projects into operation.

Levanta develops solar, wind, and battery projects across Southeast Asia, while Triconti handles wind projects from site identification to construction readiness. Triconti also recently secured GEA4 incentives for a wind project in Anda, Bohol.

The Department of Energy earlier said GEA4 awarded 10,195.49 MW of renewable capacity for delivery from 2026 to 2029, including 2,518.29 MW from onshore wind projects in Quezon, Sorsogon, and the Visayas.
