GSIS opens upgraded Zamboanga branch, adds digital service hub

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has reopened its renovated Zamboanga City branch and launched a Digital Business Center to improve services for nearly 48,000 members and pensioners.

GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso led the inauguration, saying the new facility will better manage rising transactions from 187 government agencies. The center supports members who need in-person help while complementing the GSIS Touch mobile app.

Veloso also inspected the Basilan Extension Office, which serves around 7,000 members, and met with representatives from key government agencies and banks to gather feedback on service improvements.

Zamboanga City Mayor Khymer Adan T. Olaso welcomed the upgrades, noting that they benefit the entire Zamboanga Peninsula. Veloso said the reforms aim to provide modern, efficient, and compassionate service for government workers and retirees.
