Global Executive Solutions Group LLC (GESG), a longtime Philippine headhunting firm for mid- and top-level executives, is preparing to expand abroad and is searching for a foreign partner.
GESG president and CEO Ray Canilao said the company, which has operated for 20 years, aims to move into Southeast Asia over the next two years. He said GESG spent the post-pandemic years rebuilding its executive recruitment operations in the Philippines and is now ready to look outward.
The firm has placed leaders in sectors such as infrastructure, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, and information technology. Canilao added that the return of many Filipino professionals from overseas shows stronger global linkages—an opportunity a foreign partner could help them maximize through cross-border recruitment.
Clients also highlighted GESG’s consultative approach. CDO Foodsphere HR executive John Jay Romero said his own placement through GESG led to a broader partnership, praising the firm’s ability to anticipate leadership concerns. Fly Ace Corp. COO Fred Ong noted that GESG’s guidance felt “genuine,” focusing on values and long-term goals rather than transactions.
While planning expansion, GESG also sees opportunities at home, particularly in helping professionalize small and medium enterprises by matching them with the right leadership talent.
