The Palawan Group has partnered with Ria Money Transfer to offer low-cost outbound remittances for Filipinos abroad, including students, freelancers, and small business owners. Fees start at ₱300, making it one of the cheapest options in the market.
Transfers can be sent to bank accounts, e-wallets, or cash pick-up points, with funds processed in real time and available instantly. Customers can choose the recipient’s preferred currency.
Palawan CEO Karlo M. Castro said the move supports growing demand from the gig economy and international students, while digital services like Palawan Pay are helping the company return to growth despite a decline in over-the-counter transactions.
Ria’s platform connects to over 500,000 locations worldwide, providing secure, convenient, and compliant money transfer options, according to Ria Asia Pacific MD Espen Kristensen.
