    PCSO tops 2024 GOCC rankings

    The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) emerged as the top-performing government-owned and controlled corporation in the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) 2024 performance evaluation, earning the highest score at 100.63% and surpassing major institutions like the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority and PAGCOR.

    The recognition, awarded on December 1 in Parañaque City, highlights PCSO’s drive for accountability, transparency, and stronger citizen-focused service delivery.

    The GCG cited PCSO for its “exceptional performance across all indicators,” which measured social impact, revenue growth, budget utilization, customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and advancements in technology. The agency also gained an additional point for full compliance with the Magna Carta of Women through robust Gender and Development programs.

    “This recognition inspires us to work even harder and uphold a culture of excellence in serving the people,” PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles said during the ceremony, where he received the award alongside PCSO Chairman Felix Reyes and the PCSO Board of Directors.

    Other GOCCs honored include the Clark International Airport Corporation, Land Bank of the Philippines, MWSS Regulatory Office, National Tobacco Administration, and the Social Security System.

    PCSO’s rise has been steady. From 56.3% in 2021, the agency jumped to 92.03% in 2022—making it the Most Improved GOCC—and 98.01% in 2023, placing it among the Top 10 GOCCs.

    The agency also recently received the 2024 Gender and Development Award from the Philippine Women’s Commission and was named First Runner-Up in the FOI Champion Awards.

    Beyond awards, PCSO continues to expand public service through medical aid, equipment donations, patient transport vehicles, and nationwide disaster relief efforts—ensuring its revenues deliver meaningful, life-changing impact for Filipino families.
