The GSIS is distributing ₱3.93 billion in Christmas cash gifts to 411,692 pensioners beginning today. For the first time, pro-rata and Portability Law (RA 7699) pensioners are included, adding nearly 15,000 new beneficiaries.
The December monthly pension will also be credited earlier than usual, on December 5.
The cash gift is equal to one month’s pension or ₱10,000, whichever is lower, and will be automatically deposited into GSIS ATM accounts.
Eligible recipients are active old-age, retirement, and disability pensioners under RA 8291, RA 660, RA 7699, and PD 1146 who are alive as of November 30, 2025.
GSIS reminds pensioners to complete their APIR, noting that those with suspended pensions may claim the gift once reactivated.
Not eligible are survivorship and dependent pensioners, those who took a five-year lump sum, recent 18× cash payment retirees (eligible after five years), and members who began receiving pension from 2021–2025 after early separation (eligible after five years).
