GCash has partnered with Japan-based Queen Bee Capital (QBC) to make it easier for Filipinos in Japan to send money home. The collaboration allows users to remit funds directly to their families’ GCash accounts or cash in to their own wallets using either a Japanese (+81) or Philippine mobile number.
QBC operates PayForex, a long-running money transfer platform in Japan. With GCash now integrated into PayForex, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) can send money digitally without visiting physical remittance centers. Many Filipinos already use PayForex through bank transfers or payments made at convenience stores.
The integration allows fast and secure transfers straight to GCash accounts in the Philippines, where recipients can spend the funds instantly at millions of QR merchants, GLife partners, and cash-in/cash-out outlets nationwide.
GCash International general manager Paul Albano said the partnership supports the company’s goal of widening financial access. “Our partnership with Queen Bee Capital empowers OFWs in Japan to send secure and fast remittances to their loved ones,” he said, adding that families can easily use the money for everyday expenses, bills, insurance, and more.
GCash says the move is part of its broader push to expand global partnerships and deliver convenient digital financial services to Filipinos worldwide.
