BPI pushes financial inclusion with new savers depot locations

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with retail chain Savers Depot to offer banking services inside Savers Depot branches across Visayas and Mindanao.

Savers Depot is now the first DIY retail store to become a BPI Partner Store, giving customers access to services such as account onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, cash-outs, and BPI’s OneQR payment system. Two branches—Lapu-Lapu and Ormoc—are already operating as Partner Stores, with five more expected to open before year-end.

BPI executives said the partnership strengthens the bank’s push for financial inclusion by placing services in familiar community locations. Savers Depot CEO Kendrick Sia Sulay said the initiative helps make financial transactions easier for customers who may not have access to nearby bank branches or ATMs.

The tie-up is part of BPI’s growing Agency Banking network, which now includes 32 “May BPI Dito” partner establishments nationwide. With Savers Depot onboard, more Filipinos can do their banking while visiting stores they already frequent.
