Mediatrix, Mount Elizabeth Hospital partners in upgrading care in Southern Luzon

Mary Mediatrix Medical Center (Mediatrix) in Batangas has partnered with Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital to expand access to advanced treatments and boost medical training in southern Luzon.

Formed under the IHH Healthcare Medical Affiliate Program (MAP), the agreement enables both hospitals to share medical expertise, introduce new technologies, and facilitate patient referrals. Mediatrix staff will gain access to specialized training at Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagles Hospitals.

Mediatrix corporate affairs director Christo Rey Taño said the partnership raises the hospital to international standards, offering world-class care to patients in Batangas and nearby provinces. IHH Healthcare Singapore country manager Vincent Lai said the program unites hospitals committed to improving patient outcomes through collaboration.

Known for strengths in cardiology, oncology, nephrology, and neurology, Mediatrix expects the partnership to reinforce its position as a key regional referral center. CEO Jose Ronaldo De Los Santos said the collaboration gives patients easier access to advanced treatment options and second opinions in Singapore.

The partnership aims to elevate healthcare quality in southern Luzon through shared expertise, technology, and expanded training opportunities for medical professionals.
