The Aboitiz Foundation, through OneAboitiz, provided home recovery assistance to 285 families in Liloan, Cebu whose houses were totally damaged by Typhoon Tino. Each family received ₱30,000 to help start rebuilding, bringing total support for the municipality to ₱8.5 million.
The assistance is part of the Home Recovery Assistance Program, which includes vouchers for cement and construction materials, as well as cash support for labor. AboitizPower Distribution Utilities Chief Operating Officer Anton Perdices said the support aims to help families recover and remind them they are not alone as they rebuild after the disaster.
The Liloan distribution follows a similar turnover last November for 225 families in San Remigio, Cebu affected by a 6.9-magnitude earthquake. The initiative was carried out with partners including UnionBank, Republic Cement, Vic Enterprises, local government units, and volunteers.
Overall, the OneAboitiz disaster response has reached more than 63,000 families nationwide, with over ₱28.8 million in relief and recovery support, covering typhoon, earthquake, flood, and storm-affected communities across the country.
