Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) Foundation is blending mobility and healthcare with the launch of Mobi-Care, a community initiative designed to strengthen basic health service delivery in Santa Rosa City and Batangas City.
The program integrates automotive and non-automotive mobility solutions into community welfare efforts, either by bringing essential services closer to residents or by improving access through better transportation.
Mobi-Care was rolled out with the turnover of four newly configured Toyota service vehicles to the two city governments, supporting more efficient public health operations, especially in community-based settings.
As a pilot under its health pillar, the foundation donated Toyota vehicles to reinforce local healthcare capacity. Santa Rosa City received two Toyota Tamaraw Utility Vans for City Health Offices I and II, and a Type 1 Toyota Tamaraw Ambulance for the Santa Rosa Community Hospital.
“This donation exemplifies Toyota’s continuing commitment to support the City of Santa Rosa in enhancing healthcare services,” TMP Foundation President Jose Maria Aligada said during the turnover ceremony. A Memorandum of Agreement was signed to formalize use of the vehicles.
Earlier this month, Batangas City received a brand-new Toyota Hiace, now assigned as a health service vehicle of the Batangas City Health Office.
The Santa Rosa CHOs serve nine barangays each and nearly 400,000 residents, while Batangas City Health Office covers more than 350,000 people across 105 barangays, underscoring the need for reliable mobility.
The vehicles will support patient transport, delivery of medicines, deployment of healthcare workers, medical missions, and vaccination drives.
Led by the Ty family, the TMP Foundation has served as Toyota’s social arm for over 35 years, advancing initiatives across health, education, environment, community service, and mobility through corporate social responsibility programs.
