Dyna Drug Corp. has partnered with First Gen Corp. to run its warehouse operations on renewable energy, marking a shift toward more sustainable business practices.
Under the agreement, which took effect on November 26, 2025, First Gen will supply at least 145 kilowatts of geothermal power to Dyna Drug’s warehouse facilities in Pasig and Quezon City. The electricity will come from the Bacon-Manito geothermal power plant in Bicol, operated by First Gen subsidiary Energy Development Corporation.
Dyna Drug president Jacinto Dy said the move reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact while supporting daily logistics, storage, and distribution operations.
Founded in 1915, Dyna Drug is one of the pioneers of pharmaceutical wholesaling in the Philippines and now supplies products to more than 3,000 retail drugstores nationwide.
First Gen chief customer engagement officer Carlo Vega said geothermal energy provides a reliable, 24/7 power supply suited to the sensitive products handled in Dyna Drug’s warehouses, adding that the company aims to support Dyna Drug’s long-term decarbonization goals.
First Gen is the country’s leading renewable energy producer, with more than 1,700 megawatts of capacity from geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar power plants across the Philippines.
